Who we are
Alpha Square Group was founded in 2015 to invest with visionary
entrepreneurs and back growth to late-stage companies that are
powered by disruptive technologies and sustainable business models.
Our senior advisors have deep domain expertise and decades of hands-on experience in the upper
echelons of the finance, healthcare, and blockchain ecosystems.

Meet Our Advisors
R. Todd Ruppert is the founder and CEO of Ruppert International, a firm with
diversified interests globally in various fields including education, financial
services, disruptive technologies, etc. Todd has 40 years of experience in the
financial services industry. He retired from T. Rowe Price, the global asset
management firm with over $1.0 trillion under management, where he was CEO and
president of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services, co-president, T. Rowe
Price International, and a member of the operating steering committee of the T.
Rowe Price Group. He is a venture partner at Greenspring Associates, a US based
venture capital firm with over $10 billion under management.
Todd is also an advisor to a number of firms including Motive Partners, Antler,
FinVC, SenaHill, and Access Holdings.
Mike Cagney is the co-Founder and CEO of Figure, which leverages blockchain
technology to provide home equity loans in as little as 5 days. Prior to
founding Figure, Mike was CEO, chairman and co-founder of SoFi, the pioneering
and most valuable B to C fintech lender targeting high-potential millennials
with a full suite of online loans and financial products.
He began his banking career at Wells Fargo, where he eventually rose to SVP and
head trader for the proprietary trading and financial products group, following
which he created Cabezon Investment Group, a global macro hedge fund, in
addition to serving as a non-executive chairman of ReFlow. Before Cabezon, Mike
founded, was CEO and then vice chairman and chief architect of Finaplex, a
leader in wealth management software that was sold to Broadridge (NYSE: BR).
Dr. Najam Kidwai is a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, board director and
private equity investor in technology, artificial intelligence, digital media,
consumer and business internet, and digital health sectors in the USA, UK,
China, and India. He serves as a Senior Advisor and Venture Partner at Alpha
Square Group and holds several Board and Advisory Board seats including 23&Me,
Neurable, ForgeGlobal, Boxed, EQUIAM, Fusion.Org and HelloGenius.
Dr. Najam Kidwai devised the online strategy for Egg.com before co-founding two
companies that went on to successfully IPO. He was also the founder and CEO of
Real Time Content, a proprietary Adaptive Media platform which was acquired by
Pitney Bowes (NASDAQ: PBI).
Dr. Kidwai has previously held investment roles at Frontier Ventures, Edge
Venture Capital, Princeville Global and Stanford Research International.
Andy is the CEO and founder of Cloudwise, the leading Asia-Pacific AIOps
provider
that offers cloud application performance management (APM) and SaaS IT
monitoring services trusted by large enterprises such as Xiaomi, Bytedance,
TravelSky, Yum Brands, CITIC Group, etc.
Previous to Cloudwise, Andy served as Director of Engineering at Everbridge,
responsible for managing the R&D team in Everbridge China. Prior to Everbridge,
he held senior technical role at Gomez (later acquired by Dynatrace). Andy
received his Master in Software Engineering from Tsinghua University.
Aneel Ranadive is the Managing Partner at Soma Capital. He was an early investor
in Rappi, Cruise, Ironclad, Rippling, Alto Pharmacy, Razorpay, etc. with a $40bn
combined value of all portfolio companies with nearly $10bn in capital invested
into Soma Cap's portfolio co's from top tier VC's. Aneel also runs the family
office for the Ranadive family. His father Vivek Ranadive is the founder of
Tibco Software ($4.3bn exit to Vista) and early investor in Google, Yahoo,
Salesforce, eBay among others.
Previously, Aneel was the Founder of Tag, a location-sharing app backed by
Facebook Cofounder Eduardo Saverin and Tim Draper which was later acquired by
Mark Cuban in 2015. He was also Co-founder of GlanceGuide a video analytics
company sold to Nielsen and BoredAt, an anonymous social network backed by
Redpoint Ventures. He went to Columbia University for undergrad and did
investment banking at Bank of America.
Talat is a Partner at InCube Ventures, a life sciences venture fund, and Vice
President at InCube Labs, a multi-disciplinary research lab, to focus on his
passion: creating medical solutions that change the standard of care in critical
healthcare markets.
Talat is a co-founder VentureHealth, a healthcare investment platform that
transform clinical outcomes by capitalizing breakthrough innovations. He has
worked in the venture capital industry since 2005, when he joined The Angels’
Forum (TAF) and The Halo Fund. During his time at TAF, he managed the deal flow
process and worked with tech, consumer and healthcare startups to refine their
business plans and presentations.
